Sustainability Certificate

The Wellness resort Jánošíkov dvor received the international sustainability certificate Good Travel Seal – Silver from the organization Green Destinations, becoming the first establishment in Slovakia to obtain this ecological certification.

This award confirms our responsible approach to nature, the local community and sustainable tourism. We obtained the certificate after a detailed evaluation of the resort’s operations and a professional audit that verified our real practices in environmental protection, energy and water management, cooperation with local suppliers and support for the region.

For us, it is confirmation that tourism can be not only a beautiful experience for guests, but also a way to respect nature and the region of Malá Fatra.

Obtaining the certificate is not just a formal recognition. It was preceded by a detailed assessment of several areas of the resort’s operation, such as:

• nature and environmental protection,

• water and energy management,

• reducing waste and pollution,

• cooperation with local suppliers,

• care for employees and the community,

• support for local culture.

The entire process included an extensive questionnaire and verification of the real state of the resort’s operations, followed by a professional audit during which we presented our specific measures, procedures and activities to the auditor. Based on the evaluation results, we received the Good Travel Seal – Silver certificate, which is valid for 2 years and confirms that our resort meets international standards of responsible tourism.

We see sustainability as a natural part of the operation of our resort. This includes for example:

• responsible water management,

• thorough waste sorting,

• cooperation with local producers and suppliers,

• support for the local community,

• participation in nature restoration in theMalá Fatra region.

We believe that responsible tourism helps protect the beauty of the Malá Fatra region while also bringing a high-quality experience for our guests.
