Hiking

Some of various networks of marked touristic routes lead directly from pension Jánošíkov dvor (Jánošík’s court), as well as routes to edges of Malý (Little) and Veľký (Big) Rozsutec (1610 meters above sea level), Veľký (Big) Kriváň (1709 meters above sea level), or to Štefanová. What is also interesting are rock massifs – Tiesňavy with Zbojnícky chodník (Path of forest robbers) and Jánošíkove diery (Jánošík’s lodges) – canyon with beautiful waterfalls – and many others.

The most well-known touristic routes

Arris tile (high-mountains tourism) – the route will take you to the ridges of highest hills of Malá (Little) Fatra, and when weather is nice, you can see as far as mountains of Moravskoslezské Beskydy, Kysucké Beskydy, Babia Hora, Roháče, Veľká (Big) Fatra and Martinské hole.

Jánošíkove diery (Jánošík’s lodges) – light to medium-difficult hiking, but excellent for enjoying the beauties of a nature and relaxing or leaving your everyday worries behind you.

Zbojnícky chodník (Path of forest robbers) – medium-difficult hiking, beginning with great ascension, difference in elevation is 480 m, but it abets wonderful panorama of Vrátňanský hrebeň (Ridge).

CYCLO-TOUR ROUTES

You can go further distances on a bicycle and get to know and explore wider area of a country in this way (we offer bicycle renting in our cottages). Interesting cycle routes are: Terchová – Zázrivá - Hoľa (20 km), Terchová - Káčerovci -Hoľa (29 km), Zázrivá - Šípková (10 km), Terchová - Stará dolina (6 km), Lúky - Štefanová (2 km).
