Skiing Vrátna, Malá (Little) Fatra – possibilites to ski and snowboard

Wonderful slopes of Malá (Little) Fatra are prepared for skiing in winter not only for advanced skiers, but also for beginners. Ski centers with ski-lifts and ropeways (ski rental): Vrátna (Paseky, Príslop, Poludňový Grúň...), Terchová - Gavurky, Belá - Bránica, Malá Lučivná, Veľká Havrania (Kozinec, Borončo, Dolná Plešivná), Pod Jedľovinou – Chata pod Suchým.

Ski center Zázrivá – Veľká Havrania (5 km)

Two ski lifts with the capacity of 1400 people per hour will take you to the peak of Kozinec. You may ski on conditioned ski slopes from there, which are categorized as difficult, medium-difficult and easy. They extend to approximately 5 km.

Sport Center Lučivná (7 km

Ski center Malá Lučivná (502 meters above sea level) lies in foothill of Malá (Little) Fatra, in Zázrivská dolina (Zázrivá Valley) 13 km from Dolný Kubín. Transport of skiers is provided by sitting ropeway, which is 1375 m long and has 504 m of superelevation, with the capacity of 980 people per hour, as well as three ski lifts. Skiing fields on north-eastern slopes are suitable for beginners, but also for experienced skiers.

Ski center Terchová – Gavurky (8 km)

Two ski lifts with the capacity of 400 people per hour. It is 490 meters above sea level and its route is 0,4 km long. It is suitable for beginners.

Skiing Vrátna FreeTime Zone (15 km)

Elevation above sea level: 600-1709m, slopes/length: 18/14 km, ski lifts/ropeways: 15/2, capacity: 11498 people/hour, slopes: 7 easy tracks, 8 medium tracks, 3 difficult tracks.
Evening skiing, artificial snow, tracks of all levels oriented to north, excellent conditions for downhill skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing and ski alpinism.

Skiing Kubínska Hoľa (25 km)

You’ll find four-seats sitting ropeway and 8 ski lifts with the capacity of 7000 people per hour in this center situated 720 m and 1396 meters above sea level. The overall length of conditioned ski slopes is 13 km. Center also offers conditioned paths for cross-country skiers with the overall length of 10 km.

Skiing Veľká Rača – Ošcadnica (60 km)

This skiing center which is located in three places called DEDOVKA, MARGUŠKA and LALIKY offers personal mountain conveying means, including two 4-seats and one 6-seats ropeways in combination with 8-seats cabins, with overall transportation capacity of 9700 people per hour. Regularly conditioned ski slopes of 14 km and routes for cross-country skiing of 1,3 km and 5 km long.
